Daniel Richter, born in 1962 in Germany, is considered today one of the foremost artists of his generation; paintings
by Richter are known for their shattering colourful energy. His subject matter comes from art history, street
culture, pop art, music and protest. At the beginning of his career, Richter worked as a designer of album
covers, and flyers for bands in the punk scene of Hamburg.
