Why is the horizon measured at eye level? The higher we climb, the farther we can see the horizon, the sea. As if we are given the chance for hope, for poetry, for presence. Wherever we are, we can choose to hold back the sunset for a few more seconds or delay the sunrise.
Adam Rabinowitz’s series of prints inhabits a world of sunrises and sunsets. The colors open a window onto fleeting moments in which we were immersed in swallowing skies, clinging to the horizon so as not to lose ourselves. Likewise, in the works, within the colorful space, we linger on the shifting line from print to print, granting us a brief intimacy with our own point of view.
The work was created as part of an artist workshop in full collaboration with the participants. This shared process allows for dynamism within the series, where each print is unique, yet together they form a connected, living sequence.
