Daniel Richer, When the hit shits the fan, 2017
Daniel Richter, born 1962 Germany is considered today one of the foremost artists of his generation; paintings
by Richter are known for their shattering colorful energy, his subject matter comes from art history, street
culture , and pop art, music and protest. At the beginning of his career Richter worked as a designer of album
covers, flyers for bands in the punk scene of Hamburg.
The exhibition 'When the hit shits the fan' includes a suite of 14 screen prints editions in large format, which the artist created in early 2017 in Jaffa. In this series of prints, Richter created images with the characteristics of
a poster; posters with loose ends in which he mixes the personal, the everyday and the political.
